Notes |
There is no identifying information on this postcard, but there is a list of names written on the reverse, with dates and years. There is another line has the line "Shurtleff Mission, Westfield, Mary Ingraham, Matron" on the back. The Shurtleff Mission was a home for destitute children. These may be children who stayed there. I do not, however, believe that this is a photograph of the Mission, which was at 160 Franklin St., because that institution appears to have been a "poor farm". |
