55 Marengo Park, Springfield. Dec 24/12. Here we are. The husband and I on the piazza, daughters, grandaughter and son-in-law in his motor-car. I hope you will welcome us all. I look across our pretty park from my room over the awning, and see Mt. Tom, the Conn. River, the flag on the Armory, the tower of new City Hall and the city below that. I wish I could run in to see you all this snowy morning which always takes me to the dear Dumbarton Hill. I hope you are all reasonably well and happy, dear friends of old time. |
